A Bit About Me

My name is Aine, but no one really knows how to pronounce that so I will probably me most commonly known as the girl in this experiment.

When I am not doing dishes, cooking or cleaning I work with IT infrastructure in organizations and manage and maintain the systems and hardware supporting businesses.

My Past Computer Experience

I have studied and worked in many areas of computing, from networking and telephony systems, to application support. I have installed and supported servers and switches for large and small organizations.

When it comes to programming I have a significant lack of skills and knowledge, but if I started to learn that then no cleaning would get done.

My Past Experience With Free Software

I have worked with many versions of free software in a working environment this includes hosting and visualization clients, network and infrastructure monitoring software, file sharing clients, email clients (I <3 Scalix) and some common desktop applications.
I have used Linux in a home environment but never as my main machine.

What I Hope To Get Out Of It

I hope to gain a little more experience and knowledge about Linux as a personal fully customizable system.
